3After hearing Our Lord tell him to “rebuild my church”, St. Francis did just that. As Franciscans, we share in this call, and we understand that The Church include “the world.” Franciscans have been at the forefront of social justice movements since the beginning, and Secular Franciscans share in this work. Chapter 2, paragraph 15 tells us…

Let them individually and collectively be in the forefront in promoting justice by the testimony of their human lives and their courageous initiatives. Especially in the field of public life, they should make definite choices in harmony with their faith.
